With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, the preparations for the 24th Annual Piedmont Turkey Trot are well underway. begin. The 5K run through Piedmont’s streets will start at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, at the Exedra at Highland and Magnolia Avenues.
Runners can pick up their bibs on Wednesday afternoon, November 26th, between 3-6 p.m. at the Veterans Hall. Strollers and well-behaved leashed friends are permitted. Dog bandanas will be available during this time for $6.

The Turkey Trot proceeds benefit the Piedmont High School cross-country and track and field teams, and also the middle school running program.
The Tiny Trot returns for its 2nd year. The Tiny Trot is a free event for ages 3-6 at Witter Field on Wednesday, November 26th. Registration opens at 3:45 p.m. and the race will begin at 4:15 p.m. The Tiny Trot will be one lap around the quarter-mile track to celebrate the youngest runners in Piedmont.
The Turkey Trot receives help during the race from members of the Piedmont Service Crew, which is part of the Piedmont Scout Council.
